Several years ago, people from around the world came to The Raven and made numerous sculptures along the 1.5 mile Nature Trail (the yellow trail) What a marvelous tribute to the woods.

Northern Paddle and Trail spent 5 days on the St Croix waterway. Mark Stokstad planned and encouraged and kept a relaxed pace. Thanks Mark. Big job. In spite of a 4 hour!! shuttle (cars were spaced for emergencies), and a first night at a NoCamping-but-what-are-you-going-to-do-when-it's-dark-and-that's-the-choice-one-has-to-make, we put in to shallow rocks, a nice flow, plenty of wind in our faces for effect, and non-stop scenic beauty.

The Wis River paddle on Saturday was one of the most wonderful days a person could hope for. Water, sky, river, rocks, shoreline, and friends were all in place. The photographer wishes she could have truly captured pictures worthy of the skills and thrills of paddlers running Whirlpool Rapids. Such a fun day. Thanks Scott Watson!

For several years, Scott and Guy have brought their good cheer and best brat warming skills to the Washburn Trailhead to raise awareness and money for the Perch Lake warming shelter of the future Cassian / Washburn trail sytem and recreation area.
