These photos were taken on Jan. 30, 2008 of the trail from Pt Mac around the Susitna 100 course. Conditions were zero degrees and below, following a fresh snow of about 10-12 inches. We were the first snowmachines since the snow on the trail from the Big Su crossing around to EagleSong on Trail Lake, so it was soft. From EagleSong to the Yentna and on downriver the trail was hard packed.

Photos of the Susitna 2008 campout held the weekend of January 19 and 20, 2008. Fourteen people participated overnight. The temperatures were in the teens to mid twenties, with it getting cold enough for the trail to firm up for the second day. From the Point MacKenzie parking lot campers did about a fourteen mile ski, bike, or run to a site on the Susitna 100 outbound trail. The next morning some went on to Flat Horn Lake and came back on the inbound Su 100 and Little Su 50K trail, which was about another fourteen miles. Most opted for the eleven mile return using a portion of the Little Su outbound course.

Thanks to all who came out and did trail clearing and brush work on the other side of the Little Su on January 6, 2008. The trail looks great! The temperature hovered between minus nine and minus five. Everyone kept moving!
