Near the end of each session, we have a water safety day were all the students who the teachers think are ready and would benefit from the activity, jump in the deep end fuilly clothed and do several skills they have been working on. The theory is, this will show them that they can swim with all their clothes on the same way they do when they just have a swim suit on and hopefully, if they ever fall in a pool unexpectantly, they will easily swim to the side.
