The annual Valentine's Day Dinner Dance was held on February 12, 2010 at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church, in the Parish Hall, from 6:30 PM until 11:00 PM. Music and entertainment was provided by Rex De Jaeger of the Tidewater DJ's. Great music selections, and "cool" lighting made for wonderful dancing. Everyone had a wonderful time. The Knights of Columbus Council 8240 volunteers did a wonderful job organizing, planning, selling tickets, decorating, serving an excellent dinner, refreshments, and clean-up. This album was assembled so organizers of the Prince of Peace New Directory could determine which pictures they would like to use.

The Knights of Columbus Council 8240 received a special recogniztion from the Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Parish Council and Pastor, for it's continuous support to the Parish. Presentation was made after Mass on December 13, 2009.

The 2009 Annual Christmas Party for the members of the Knights of Columbus Council 8240 was held on December 11, 2009. Everyone had a wonderful time, as they do every year.

Knights of Columbus participate in the Chesapeake Christmas Parade. Knights carried the banner and flag escort, as well as the float honoring Christpher Columbus boat with several Knights onboard.

Pictures were taken after the Knights of Columbus Memorial Day Mass at the Pot Luck Dinner for KofC members and families, at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Brother Knight Dominic Parisi coordinated the dinner with help of volunteers that brought food. The Memorial Day Mass is held alternately at the Prince of Peace or the St. Stephen, Martyr, Parishes each year.

The Third Annual Knights of Columbus Council 8240 Golf Tournament was held at the Calhoun Plantation Golf Course off Cedar Road in Chesapeake, on October 24, 2009. It was coordinated by Jim Jenkins. More details will be forwarded by Jim soon.

Seth D: Seth's Dad, a US Army Major and Troop 57 Scout Leader, passed away on March 3rd, 2006. Seth got involved with scouting through his Dad at age 6. He wants to complete his Eagle Project and become an Eagle Scout. Seth's project is to build a safety fence around a children's soccer field near the YMCA on S. Battlefield, to keep children from chasing balls to where they could get hit by a car. On 4/4/2008, they dug all the holes and set the fence post that will support the fence sections that Seth is building. Four members of KofC Chesapeake Council, Nr. 8240 helped set the posts and other tasks. If you would like to contribute to Seth's project or the trust fund for disadvantaged scouts set up in his Dad's memory, contact the Council 8240 Grand Knight, Frank Hunt at frankhunt@cox.net.
