Taidhgin finished the first part of his several-months long black belt testing today: a 3.1 mile run and then 5 parts of bag work/sparring. He was exhausted (yet still managed to enjoy IHOP with the rest of the BB candidates)!
We had a great time celebrating with both Reds teams on Saturday- both ended the season on a high note and learned a ton along the way. Loved coaching my own kids this season... Go, Reds!
Connloadh had his stage debut his past weekend, singing "Spoonful of Sugar" onstage with his Pre-K class! He looked too cute and had a lot of fun...can't ask for more than that!
Aaron was able to spend some time with Eibhlin at Ditto's 2nd Grade Field Day. Eibhlin and the rest of the Fryer Fireballs did really well- they even won tug of war!
The boys and I packed up and headed to the Cliff Nelson Rec Center. I had such a good time spending the night with my big boys, fishing, watching movies, running around, etc...
We enjoyed another Fort Worth Zoo Run this past weekend with the Scruggs, Thomases, Spences, and Paylor-Winstons. Aaron ran his first 5K, too, and made great time! Not bad for a 37 year old!
We headed south to Waco for a wonderful day! We spent the morning participating in the March for Babies, raising money to support March of Dimes. The afternoon was spent at the Cameron Park Zoo and watching OUR little preemie get braver with his steps!
We ran the Victory Over Violence run again this year; Taidhgin did the 5K (for the 1st time ever) and did GREAT! Easter Sunday was met with fantastic baskets, some swim time, and an overall nice and easy day. :-)
We took Eibhlin to Great Wolf Lodge for her birthday- such a good time. Uilleam didn't like it at first, but by the end of our trip he was having just as much fun as the rest of them!
We took our annual trek to frolic in the bluebonnets...this year we went to Veteran's Park in Arlington to see and spend some time in the state flower in all of its glory!
Eibhlin celebrated her birthday in total princess, girlie style! She and her girlfriends had a (cheetah print!) princess tea party, complete with giggle tea and tiaras. O.M.G.
Taidhgin had his first game of the season on Saturday and today was his Flat Stanley play - his was the last line of the play and closed it out with a bang!
Eibhlin and Taidhgin competed in their first tournament in almost a year and they both did great! They each placed in both kata and kumite, so we just had to go out to celebrate. :-)
Grandpa and Nonna came to visit in Feb...I wish I had been able to take more pics, but poor little man was sick and so I was on baby duty all weekend...
The 2nd graders at Ditto did a wonderful job with their Texas program this morning. I wish I had been able to stay to chat with them after, but it was fun watching what I could!
