WPW members Art Carney and Tony Bradley explained how Overhead Pin Rounters worked. Art also explained how to use an overhead pin system on a router mounted in a regular router table to achive the same goal.

The agenda was boxes. Members brought boxes they made and explained how each was made. Other items were displayed during the Show-N-Tell.

The agenda for this meeting was Marquetry. Dennis Beatty of Newton, NC Dennis has 30 years experience and is considered one of the top marquetry artist in the country. He explained how to make do a marquerty project from start to finish.

Router Mania

These pictures were taken at the Klingspor Rool Extravaza held in the Hickory Metro Convention Center. WPW set up a booth to display and in some cases sell items that members have made. The show has also been a time to recruit new members. Members working the WPW booth were Rhys, Ruth, Betty, Chuck, Frank and Joey. Others members came by for a short time to help out inthe booth (Fred, Val, Donny, Bob, Richard).

Art Carney demostrates the use of a tablesaw sled (shoot board) and the Pocket Hole assembly system. We had a good turn out even though there was very little gasoline to fuel our cars to be found around the area this week.

Frank Cushman instructs on the basics of Intarsia and members got to try their hand out on the scroll saw and a piece of Intarsia themselves.

This meeting Cody of Porter Cable came to give us a demonstration of the 24" OMNIJIG Joinery System. 46 members attended the meeting.
